WinRAR (a.k.a. RAR) is a shareware file archiver and data compression utility developed by Eugene Roshal. It is one of the few applications that is able to create RAR archives natively, as the encoding method is held to be proprietary. FeaturesWinRAR supports the following features:

If you modified a file in archive with encrypted names usingan external editor, WinRAR will not ask for archive password againwhen prompting to update a file.
